It's pretty simple. Don't be a dick.
- I'll be the judge of what exactly constitutes "being a dick" thank you very much. To dumb it down:
- no flame wars
- no trolling
- no spamming (or any kind of advertising, unless it's been explicitly OK'd) <-- This one especially will get you beaten
- No questioning the mods/admins, their decisions are final.
- I especially don't want to see "vs." threads. You know, "C++ vs. C#", "Linux vs. Windows", "My foot vs. your throat" and so on. I see those or something resembling those and I'll shut that shit right down and you'll get a warning and then a ban if you're persistent. Save that garbage for slashdot.
- No cross-posting. At all. If you have a topic, keep it to the correct forum and do not post it multiple times (this means no multiple postings in the same forum or across multiple forums). If you made a mistake and put your topic in the wrong place, let myself or a moderator know and we'll move it to the correct place.
- Keep your posts ON TOPIC. If I or a moderator see an off-topic post then it will be moved and you will be warned.
- No porn.
- No piracy/warez and no discussion of piracy/warez.
- No religion/political debates. I've seen what happens when you let these things start. They're OK at first, but then people get bent out of shape over nothing and it just devolves into a shouting match. Frankly, I don't like religion, nor do I believe in it. If you do, great, have fun, just keep it out of my home. Politicians are assholes. I hate them. I especially hate convservative politicians. And I'm none too fond of the more 'liberal' ones. I don't care who you side with, that's a personal choice and you should keep it that way.
- Use the English language. That's the only language I know, and I have no plans in the immediate future to learn any other. If you don't know English, then Google has a wonderful translation website.
Hotmail
This was a decision I struggled with, but I think it's for the best. You cannot use a hotmail account to sign up for this site. Why? In my experience, I've found a HUGE amount of spam has a hotmail address attached to it. And hopefully, this will delay spammers a bit (obviously it won't stop them). If you insist on using webmail then use gmail.

The forum has been getting a LOT of signups from spam bots lately. To the point of where I've begun banning subnets. Seriously morons, use a virus scanner and some common sense and keep these damn things off your system(s). If you're a legitimate user from one of the subnets I've denied then I'm sorry to say that you're out of luck. I hate being an asshole about it, but frankly some places have more zombied machines/spammers than others and that's just the way it is. If you don't like it do something about it. Hunt these fuckers down and cut their nuts off. They're just making it bad for the honest user.
This is not a democracy.
That's right. I especially have final say over what's acceptable and what isn't. If you don't like that, you can go elsewhere. I'm not here to cater to the whiny bitches. Don't like my language? I don't care. My house. My rules.
